As I prepare to leave for Europe over the next few days, I look back over the past few weeks. Many opportunities, many tests and this powerful feeling of being alive. Dissonance to resonance, only for life to convolute beautifully, bringing back dissonance.
Integrity: a concept I've touched on before but understanding more through the overcoming of hurdles. I cannot betray my principles for a quick win. Many times, I've betrayed myself and my own beliefs for a shortcut. In life, it is full of negotiations. Nothing is permanent nor certain.
We need integrity as life does give out so constant, monolithic amounts of changes and the need for one to change. Without integrity, we will float around. Like nature, at times we need the strength and solidity of a mountain. The cyclical nature of the wind and water, flowing. We need the passion of fire too, but not too much. Everything in moderation. Don't hold on too tight, but do so when you need.
The middle path!
Truth is ephemeral. Truth is eternal. Is truth marketing? All holds true. Therefore, we must be able to sustain multiple realities, multiple truths. We should organise them, live them, learn to own them and coherently and artistically create a synthesis. It's a tough process, to not give in to the easier way, to run away with fear of losing your mind. A structure or routine, a set of values and integrity to keep you on track, discipline, all of which are an accumulation of overcoming suffering and being a challenger towards life. The ultimate goal is inner peace, acceptance of everything life throws at you. Love. Deep love is acceptance in the most humanly refined way as possible. To put it easier, love yourself, especially the parts you hate. Nurture it, work on it slowly and steadily.
Love all, but trust your life with very few.
